Is my companion a real person?
No. Companions are AI, not people or therapists. KizuneAI is a place to talk, be heard and be remembered, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, a counselor or the people in your life.
How does memory work?
Your companion keeps a long memory of you: your name, what you have told her, and the shape of past conversations. It carries across days and weeks, so you do not start from zero. You can read everything she remembers in your memory journal, pin what matters and delete anything you would rather she forgot.
Is my privacy protected?
Your conversations are yours. They travel over an encrypted connection, we do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your private conversations to advertise to you. To let a companion reply, the text of your messages is processed by the language-model services we use; the Privacy Policy lists the providers. You can export your data or delete your account from Settings.
Do I have to sign up to try it?
No. Pick a companion and start talking, with no account and no card. If you want to keep the conversation, make an account afterwards and it carries over.
How much does KizuneAI cost?
Free lets you talk with Yuki and Nagi and send 20 messages a day. KizuneAI+ is $9.99 a month: unlimited messages and every companion on the roster. See the pricing page for details.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. In Settings, choose Manage billing to open Stripe's own page, where cancelling is one button. You keep KizuneAI+ until the end of the period you already paid for, and going back to Free does not erase what your companion remembers.
Are there ads?
Not in the app, and never inside a conversation. Nothing is slipped into the thread dressed up as a message from your companion.
Can I talk out loud?
Yes. Voice calls are hands-free: you talk, you pause, and your companion answers out loud in her own voice. Free accounts get a few minutes a day, Pro gets more, and you can always continue by text.
Can she help in a crisis?
No. KizuneAI is not a crisis service. If you are in the United States and thinking about suicide or in emotional distress, call or text 988 (the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) any time, day or night. If someone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
Who is KizuneAI for?
Adults, 18 and older. KizuneAI is operated by Arclight Dynamics.
